Sophia and Mellisha met in Brooklyn and immediately felt like they'd known each other for years. When it came to their wedding, the knew they wanted it to hold all of the feelings of the evening they first met—a small gathering of people they love, a warm, familiar space, glowing light, good music, lots of laughs, and a great time had by all. They were married in the church Sophia grew up in surrounded by loved ones. When it came to the details they hand-made as many things as they could themselves to give their wedding a homemade feel. They designed they're own wedding programs and had whimsical DIY touches everywhere like a scene out of Alice in Wonderland with their reception at Upstairs on the Square.
